Prof. Lapôtre's research focuses on sediment transport, fluvial and eolian morphodynamics, fluid and erosion mechanics, applications of quantitative geomorphology and sedimentology to paleoenvironmental reconstuctions on Earth and other planetary bodies, planetary exploration, orbital and in situ geology, and VSWIR spectroscopy.
